Holding his two baby siblings, seven-year-old Hugo is clearly the proud brother. What’s surprising, however, is that the youngsters are triplets. Mum Helen Baker has emotionally described the ʀᴏʟʟᴇʀᴄᴏᴀsᴛᴇʀ she has been on, with her triplets, born seven-and-ᴀ-ʜᴀʟF ʏᴇᴀʀs ᴀᴘᴀʀᴛ, now sharing an ‘ᴜɴʙʀᴇᴀᴋᴀʙʟᴇ ʙᴏɴᴅ’.
Helen Baker , from Southampton, Hampshire, she gave birth to twins Coco and Monty in August 2018 ᴜsɪɴɢ the sᴀᴍᴇ Fᴇʀᴛɪʟɪsᴇᴅ ᴇɢɢs that brought Hugo ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ in 2011. She ᴇɴᴅᴜʀᴇᴅ a ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ, an ᴇᴄᴛᴏᴘɪᴄ ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ, and sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ. Dad Oliver, 41, and Helen went ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴛᴇɴ ɢʀᴜᴇʟʟɪɴɢ ʀᴏᴜɴᴅs of ⒾⓋⒻ at a cost of £17,500, forcing them to sell their house in order to foot the bill. And, to their delight, there were not one but two new additions to the family. Because the three were ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇᴅ at the same time they are by definition triplets, despite the ᴀɢᴇ ɢᴀᴘ. Now the trio is so ɪɴsᴇᴘᴀʀᴀʙʟᴇ that they finish each other’s sentences, with former model Helen, 42, dubbing it an ‘ᴜɴʙʀᴇᴀᴋᴀʙʟᴇ ʙᴏɴᴅ.’ She says there are striking similarities between Monty and Hugo, 10, with both having ɪᴅᴇɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟ ᴅᴀʀᴋ ᴇʏᴇs and hair and the younger two growing up is like ‘ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴀ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ᴍᴀᴄʜɪɴᴇ’.
The three siblings are as ᴛʜɪᴄᴋ ᴀs ᴛʜɪᴇᴠᴇs and all unusually ʜᴀᴛᴇ butter on their bread. Hugo was born in February 2011 weighing 7lb 1½oz, with Monty and Coco arriving this August weighing 7lb 8oz and 7lb 1oz respectively. Helen said: “People say there’s an ᴜɴʙʀᴇᴀᴋᴀʙʟᴇ ʙᴏɴᴅ between twins and triplets. I would say other kids Hugo’s age would find their brothers and sisters ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ. But the three of them are really close. Hugo will go over to the cupboard to get an apple and will always get three out. It’s never a question, he always wants to help out. Monty Fᴇʟʟ ᴏᴠᴇʀ the other day and was calling out for Hugo rather than Mummy. Hugo really is a big help. He’ll help walking them across the street and when he comes in from school they run up and each take a hand. Hugo and Monty really look alike. Of course, there are always similarities between brothers and sisters but it’s Fʀᴇᴀᴋʏ. People tell me it’s like looking back in time when they see Monty. It’s like having my first baby back! He’s going ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ the sᴀᴍᴇ ᴏʙsᴇssɪᴏɴ with the Hulk as Hugo did. It is a bit like ɢᴏɪɴɢ ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴀ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ᴍᴀᴄʜɪɴᴇ. They didn’t share the same first word but they make up for it now with finishing each other’s sentences a lot of the time. They all had ᴛᴏɴɢᴜᴇ ᴄᴏʀʀᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ which is another thing in common. They all ʜᴀᴛᴇ butter. Coco and Monty ᴅᴏɴ’ᴛ realise Hugo doesn’t like it so it’s not as if they are just ᴄᴏᴘʏɪɴɢ him.”
