It can be sᴛʀᴇssFᴜʟ and ᴅɪsᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛɪɴɢ when your ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ ᴅᴏᴇsɴ’ᴛ go exactly as you plan. When Kelsey Brewer was placed on ʙᴇᴅ ʀᴇsᴛ her husband decided to fill in for her ᴍᴀᴛᴇʀɴɪᴛʏ sʜᴏᴏᴛ and the photos are epic.
He decided to step up and take Kelsey’s place, posing with his ʙᴇʟʟʏ sᴇʀᴠɪɴɢ as a baby ʙᴜᴍᴘ, to cheer up his ᴘᴏᴏʀʟʏ ᴡɪFᴇ and document an important moment in their relationship. He ᴋᴇᴘᴛ the plan secret so he could eventually surprise her with the photos. When Jared finally shared the photos, they ended up receiving thousands of comments. Jared said: “She started ᴄʀʏɪɴɢ when she saw the pictures, it brought tears to her eyes and made her happy. I wanted to make her laugh a little bit . I knew she would appreciate the shoot because she needed a good laugh. She’d been in the ʜᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ for the past week and had been ᴍɪsᴇʀᴀʙʟᴇ. She’s very photogenic and loves to take pictures and ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ ᴀʙʟᴇ to. I ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ɪɴ ᴀ ᴍɪʟʟɪᴏɴ ʏᴇᴀʀs would have imagined they would have went ᴠɪʀᴀʟ like they did, it was kind of ᴜɴʀᴇᴀʟ to me. It took us all by surprise , we were just trying to do something nice for my wife and then all the ᴘᴏsɪᴛɪᴠᴇ ʀᴇᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ that came from it was pretty cool.”
Photographer Kiana Smither, who happens to be Kelsey’s sister, ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ ʙᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴇᴅ by the last-minute switch up. She managed to take some genuinely brilliant photos for the mum-to-be to enjoy. The photos helped the couple commemorate the special occasion, but more importantly, they helped cheer up Kelsey. Kelsey said: ” It was just completely unexpected and it made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes. My husband has been a total rock through this whole process and even managed to get with my sister to take these amazing photo! That I will literally cherish for the rᴇsᴛ of my life! I really appreciated the thought that went into it. Everybody is just ᴛɪᴄᴋʟᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ that he did it. I’ve already got a couple of the pictures picked out that I’m going to have framed and I’m definitely going to cherish those forever. ”
She shared in a Facebook post:”Thank you so much Kiana Whitney Smither for capturing these images of my amazing husband! I ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ wait to watch you work your ᴍᴀɢɪᴄ once our sweet boy is here!” Baby Kash was born on Saturday, six weeks ᴇᴀʀʟʏ. He weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces. He will be in the ɴᴇᴏɴᴀᴛᴀʟ ɪɴᴛᴇɴsɪᴠᴇ ᴄᴀʀᴇ ᴜɴɪᴛ Fᴏʀ Fɪᴠᴇ ᴅᴀʏs ᴏʀ sᴏ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ sᴜʀᴇ he’s healthy before heading home. Jared said Kelsey has been in a ʟᴏᴛ ᴏF ᴘᴀɪɴ but she’s in a sᴛᴀʙʟᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴ. The photos definitely helped to cheer her up while she was in ʜᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ. There are sure to be some amazing family photos in their future.
