At the age of 10, Beatie started to selF-identiFy with the ᴍᴀʟᴇ ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ. At 23 years old, he began ᴛᴇsᴛᴏsᴛᴇʀᴏɴᴇ ʜᴏʀᴍᴏɴᴇ ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ to ᴛʀᴀɴsɪᴛɪᴏɴ ᴛᴏ ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ʟɪFᴇ ᴀs ᴀ ᴍᴀɴ. This revelation led to the Family having an interview with Oprah WinFrey. Thomas had a liFelong dream to have ᴄʜɪʟᴅʀᴇɴ.
