A Mom ᴅɪᴅɴ’ᴛ ᴋɴᴏᴡ that a casual date would lead to the birth of four children two sets of twins in a matter of ᴊᴜsᴛ 17 months.
When Hannah Marshall signed up for dating app Bumble, she got double what she bargained for. Not only did she find love with Rowan Marshall, but the pair are now the proud parents of two sets of twins born within 17 months. She said : “I was looking for a date, I never knew I’d find my soulmate! Rowan jumped out at me. He was ᴊᴜsᴛ my type so it was a quick ‘swipe right’. He messaged me back and we started chatting but were both busy with work so it was nearly two weeks later when we decided to meet up. We played pool and had a really chilled date. Rowan was great fun. Rowan and I have the same surname too, even though we aren’t married, so we were definitely meant to be together.”
The ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ was ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟʟʏ ᴀɢᴀɪɴsᴛ the ᴏᴅᴅs, as Hannah had previously sᴜFFᴇʀᴇᴅ a ‘ᴍᴏʟᴀʀ ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ’ a very ʀᴀʀᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴ where an ᴇɢɢ Fᴀɪʟs ᴛᴏ Fᴇʀᴛɪʟɪsᴇ ᴄᴏʀʀᴇᴄᴛʟʏ ten year ᴇᴀʀʟɪᴇʀ. As the ᴄᴏɴᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴ can ᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴛᴜᴍᴏᴜʀs, she’d had ‘ᴀɢɢʀᴇssɪᴠᴇ’ ᴄʜᴇᴍᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴀᴘʏ to ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛ it and as a result, believed she was ᴜɴʟɪᴋᴇʟʏ ᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴀʀʀʏ a child again, so she wasn’t always careful about having ᴘʀᴏᴛᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ ⓢⓔⓧ. Hannah was ‘sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ’ when, after feeling ᴜɴᴡᴇʟʟ at a music festival, a ᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄᴀᴍᴇ ʙᴀᴄᴋ ᴘᴏsɪᴛɪᴠᴇ. She recalled :”The sᴏɴᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜᴇʀ ʀᴀɴ the sᴄᴀɴɴᴇʀ over my sᴛᴏᴍᴀᴄʜ and said she could see two ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙᴇᴀᴛs. I was in complete sʜᴏᴄᴋ, I ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ take it in, but there they were, the two ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙᴇᴀᴛs ᴘᴜᴍᴘɪɴɢ ᴀᴡᴀʏ on the screen. Rowan ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ believe it either. We’d only met a few months before on Bumble and here I was, already ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ.”
The girls were born at the Royal Exeter Hospital, with Iris weighing 5lbs and Esme at 5lb 6oz. The couple then welcomed Zoey and Finn at the end of July, who were born healthy at the Royal Exeter Hospital in Devon. Hannah said: “It was such an emotional moment when I held them in my arms for the first time. I ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ believe I was a mum – I thought it would ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ʜᴀᴘᴘᴇɴ for me.” Despite stunned family members thinking she was ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ, Hannah ‘wouldn’t change’ her new life ‘ for the ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ’.
