With the increasing popularity of TikTok, many moms have gone on the app to share what their children look like and the unique characteristics they have. Alexis LaRue and her 7-month-old ɪᴅᴇɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟ ᴛᴡɪɴ daughters, Camila and Elena, attract the attention of users of this social network. When mum Alexis posted a video of herself sᴛʀᴜɢɢʟɪɴɢ to carry both her daughters in one arm on TikTok. After that video racked up over 45 million views, Alexis joked: “Everybody wants to know to know if I’m ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴛɪɴʏ… or my babies are ʜᴜɢᴇ.” Even though they’re less than a year old, Alexis’ twins ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ᴄᴏᴠᴇʀᴇᴅ ʜᴇʀ ᴇɴᴛɪʀᴇ ᴛᴏʀsᴏ in the video – which led people to question if they were some clever editing at play or if it was all some kind of joke.
When 21-year-old Alexis learned she was ᴘʀᴇɢᴀɴᴛ with fiance Leo Mejia, 23, she was verry happy. She said:” One goal in my life is to be a mother so I’m super excited when that comes true. I had my first ᴜʟᴛʀᴀsᴏᴜɴᴅ at 6 weeks and we saw two sᴍᴀʟʟ pockets on the screen. In the ᴛᴡɪɴ ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴜɴɪᴛʏ, it’s quite normal to expect babies to be around 5 kg or less. I bought clothes in advance for the twins, because I thought they would be very sᴍᴀʟʟ.” However, the ɪᴅᴇɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟ ᴛᴡɪɴ daughters Camila and Elena were born in March and while they were born weighing ᴊᴜsᴛ 6lbs.7oz. each, they’ve quickly ᴛʀɪᴘʟᴇᴅ ɪɴ sɪᴢᴇ.
Camila and Elena are eating 6oz of ɪɴғᴀɴᴛ ғᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ every few hours, and are ᴊᴜsᴛ starting to transition to solids. Alexis said:”They really seem to enjoy trying new foods. Whenever I eat something, they always stare at me like they’re waiting for me to have some.” Leo’s father is 5’11” tall, so the fact that the twins sᴋʏʀᴏᴄᴋᴇᴛᴇᴅ to 2’5″ in ᴊᴜsᴛ over half a year took the family by surprise. They grow sᴏ ғᴀsᴛ. At 7 months, they can wear anything from 12-month to 18-month clothes. So when Alexis, who is ᴏɴʟʏ ᴡᴇɪɢʜs 116.4 lbs. carries both of her babies at the same time, it makes for quite a comedic picture. Mom Alexis has since shared more adorable footage of her ɪɴғᴀɴᴛs and the internet ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ get enough of their sweet faces. Most of the comments are kind, but not all. One replied:”I don’t understand how this could be real. Their ʜᴇᴀᴅs are already way ʙɪɢɢᴇʀ ᴛʜᴀɴ yours.”
Some people say things like: “Oh, they’re ɢᴏɴɴᴀ ʙᴇ ⓃⒻⓁ players or sᴛᴏᴘ ғᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇᴍ sᴏ ᴍᴜᴄʜ.” Meanwhile, a third said: “Your babies are beautiful. Iɢɴᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ɪᴅɪᴏᴛs.” In truth, her kids reached the ʜɪɢʜᴇsᴛ ᴘᴇʀᴄᴇɴᴛɪʟᴇ for their weight and height. The mom also added :” If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s to remember that all babies are different. They all develop at a different rate, it’s ᴊᴜsᴛ mine. They are very healthy, happy, and full of personality. Always remember to be kind.”
